You are invited to the Inaugural Research & Scholarly Activity Day at UNO!

We welcome participation from our scholars from areas all across campus. All students and employees are encouraged to participate in the event. Authors, Artists, Researchers, Musicians, Performers and Scholars are all invited to share their research and creativity efforts with the university community.

Deadline to sign up: Friday, March 24

Date of event: April 7, 2017

Time: 9 am to 3 pm

Location: the newly renovated 4th floor of the Library

How do I participate: complete the online registration

Authors Talk and Showcase - The showcase will include an exhibit and slideshow of recent faculty research and creative works and brief informal presentations by faculty about their research and scholarly activity. The event will take place in the newly renovated 4th floor of the library, where there is a permanent display of UNO authors.

To be included in the showcase, you can do one or both of the following:

1) Submit any publications (books, book chapters, articles, creative work) from 2012 to the present for the physical and virtual exhibits;

2) Present your work for your colleagues in an informal “lightning round” session (approximately 5 minutes per presenter)

This is an inclusive event and is open to authors of traditional printed materials such as books but we welcome musicians to present their album or other accomplishments.

Artists - All artists are welcome to exhibit their works in the newly renovated gallery on the 4th floor of the library. Poster boards and limited shelving will be provided to display artwork.

Performers - Musicians and performers are welcome to participate in the event. Live or recorded music would be welcome.

Posters - Faculty, staff, graduate students and undergraduate students are invited to present posters based on their current research activities at UNO.
