By Admin (on 3/23/2018 @ 16:06:54, in Workshops, read 79 times)
NASA will be hosting a Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) with Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) researchers at the GSFC facility in Greenbelt, MD on Wednesday June 27, 2018. As part of the NASA EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Development (RID) program here in Louisiana we are soliciting applicants who would like to attend this TIM and investigate new avenues of research with NASA partners. The TIM will be hosted on the GSFC campus where the morning of 6/27 will consist of round table discussions with individual research groups followed by lunch on-site at GSFC. The afternoon will include research laboratory familiarization. Research topics discussed during the TIM will be a subset of the GSFC research areas listed at the end of this email. Applicants should identify their top three choices from the list. Travel up to about $1,500 per person would be paid through a Louisiana NASA EPSCoR Travel Assistance Program (TAP) award. The travel estimate assumes three days of travel, with meals and rental car plus lodging at a TBD conference hotel near GSFC. It is expected that travel to Greenbelt, MD will take place on Tuesday June 26 and return to Louisiana will occur on Thursday June 28. Airfare to Baltimore / Washington International (BWI) airport (nearest to GSFC) is included in the travel estimate. Note that no foreign nationals will be allowed to attend this meeting. However, lawful permanent residents (green card holders) should be able to participate (I will need to check on this one). If you wish to participate in the GSFC TIM you must email me at guzik@phunds.phys.lsu.edu with the following information as soon as possible and definitely before April 1, 2018 1.
